Swamigal Speaks

"Have you seen God?"

Sri Sri Swamiji:

“The Lord has seen me.”

“How do you say that there is no difference between the Lord and His Name?”

Sri Sri Swamiji:

“On looking at or touching the Lord in the Temple a person deems it to be an idol only, made up of stone or metal. He also thinks that there is a real God different from this. But does the same thought arise while uttering the Name of the Lord?"

"Would one wonder if he is uttering the Name of the Lord in the Temple or the Name of a Conscious God? Thus we are able to comprehend to a certain extent that there is no difference between the Name of the Lord and the Lord. Don’t we?”

“I feel that Nature is the cause of the Universe?”

Sri Sri Swamiji:

“A man who visits the beach to enjoy the cool breeze sits on the shore for sometime, chats with his friends and departs. He does not stop to think about the huge ocean, its untiring waves touching the shores, the coral, the conch, the pearl and countless other objects contained in the ocean. The mechanism in a simple motor car at home fails even within a year of its manufacture. But does not our body carry on its functions for years on end? The working of our body is a great wonder, indeed! And, there are 84,00,000 creatures with different physical make up! What a great wonder is the working of each of these bodies? A farmer whose livelihood depends on the rain looks up at the clouds for sign of rains; like the man visiting the beach, the farmer’s thought also does not move beyond that. The colossal Universe with all its Sun, Moon, other Planets, Stars, and an order in their functioning are sure proof that Nature, in nature, is being taken care of by a Lord.”
