Dhanur Month Puja was performed at Sri Kalyana Srinivasa Perumal temple.
Every morning 'Hare Rama..' Maha Mantra Nagara Sankirtan was performed by more than 50 kids.
Dhanur Month Pooja for Madhuri Sakhi sametha Sri Premika Varadan was performed
in the Bhaagavata Bhavanam hall of Mathurapuri Aashram.
With Sri Sri Swamiji's blessings, a mass prayer with Maha Mantra Kirtan, towards harmony, world
peace and prosperity was arranged on the 1st February at Kamarajar Arangam, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai.
The function was held between 10:30am and 12:30 pm and was attended by more than
5000 people from the length and breadth of the sub-continent.
In the august presence of Sri Sri Swamiji the Srimad Bhaagavata Udhyasthamana Sapthaaham took place
in all its grandeur at 'Mayura Residency' hall in Guruvayur. More than hundred
Bhagavathas from Karnataka and Tamilnadu participated in the paaraayana on all the seven days of the
sapthaaham. After the Moola paaraayana, Sri Sri Swamiji enlightened the gathered bhaagavathas and devotees
with Upanyaas on Krishna Jananam and Krishna lilas. Sri Sri Swamiji's upanyaas entwined with Thyagaraja,
Oothukadu and Bharathiar kirtans enthralled the gathered devotees.
On the evening of the 5th day, Sri Sri Swamiji after his dip in the 'Naraayana thirtham'(temple pond) arrived at the Guruvayur
temple and performed sankirtan in the temple premises for about two and half hours along with the bhaagavathas.
The pilgrims at the temple joined in the sankirtan with zeal and the temple revebrated with the melody of the sankirtan.
On the 7th day, after the completion of the paaraayana Sri Sri Swamiji with the 'thirtha kalasam'(pot containing
holy water) led the procession surrounded by hundreds of bhaagavathas and devotees towards the Naraayana
Thirtham. At the temple pond, the devotees absorbed in divine fervour watched as Sri Sri Swamiji stood in
the water holding the kalasam on his head and composed kirtans on Sri Guruvayurappan for about 45 minutes.
Sri Sri Swamiji blessed all the devotees who had participated in the Sapthaaham that each and every one of
their lives will be filled with happiness. Sir K. K. Narayanan from Bangalore was responsible for the
entire Sapthaaha kainkarya. The devotees were provided with food on all the seven days.
Special Thirumanjanam was performed at Sri Kalyana Srinivaasa Perumal temple on Pongal - the first day of 'Thai'.
The Utsavar was taken in the procession around the temple in the evening.
The 5th Prathishta Day of Sri Kalyana Srinivaasa Perumal was celeberated grandly at the
Mahaaranyam Sri Kalyana Srinivaasa Perumal Temple.Sri Swamiji performed the thirumanajam
for Sri Kalyana Srinivaasa Perumal at 9:00 am. Naama Sankirtan was performed in the evening.
Rig Veda paaraayana was performed from January 24, 2007 to January 29, 2007 as a part of the Prathista day
celeberations.
Sri Sri Swamiji inaugurated the new building of the Saama Veda Vidyalaya at Tiruvannamalai's Aditi Ashram
and blessed the gathering with his address.
Sri Sandeepani Gurukula Trust conducted a special yoga program in Sri Sri Swamiji's presence at the Madhurapuri Ashram. Yoga demonstrations were done by Rajapalayam Sri. R. Alagumurugam and his group
and by the members of Swami Vivekananda Yoga & Skating Kazhagam. The participants performed yoga seated on a stainless steel tumbler, a nail studded pedestal and on eggs demonstrating their deep concentration and skillful training. It was a crowning moment that left the spectators awestruck when the adept performers demonstrated yoga on top of broken ceramic pieces. The amazing thing about the performance was that all the participants were children.
It was followed by an expert yoga demonstration by Rajapalayam Sri. P. Neerathilingam and his group.
Later the chief guest Sri. P. Kalimuthu I.P.S(Former Police Commisioner) in his address said that he
had made yoga training mandatory for police officers while he was in service in addition to himself undergoing
yoga training for a year. He applauded the children who had exhibited their skills and offered prizes to them on behalf of the Sri Sandeepani Gurukula Trust.
