Guru arull onre ariven
veronrum nãn virumben! ariyen! (Guru arull)
tavamum youvanamum dhanamum bhalamum
chutrathãrum padaviyum kolum
arasanum ãptharum dharmamum needhiyum
nilai-ketta ulagil nilaiyãde, samayathil udavãde!
Guru arull onre yirundãl mattradellãm thane varum!
varuvadodu yillãmal samayathil thunnai nirkkum! (Guru arull)

Translation
I know only the Grace of the Guru!
I know not, seek not any other!
Tapas, youthfulness, wealth, strength
relatives, status, planets
King, friends, charity, justice
Are not timely support
In this unmerited world,
All come by if only Guru's Grace is earned!
And (they are) of timely support!
