Avatãr Utsav

The Avatãr Utsav of Sri Srinivasa Perumal was celebrated at Premika Bhavanam, Chennai. Sri Sri Swamiji performed 'tirumanjanam' for Perumãl in the morning and then lighted the 'Sravana Deepam'. 32 different varietites of savouries and food types were offered to the Lord.
In the afternoon, Ashtapadi Bhajans were sung.
6:00pm - 8:00 pm: Veena Recital was performed by Kumari Shanmugapriya and party.

October 6th, 2006

In Pullalur village in Kanchipuram, in the august presence of Sri Sri Swamiji, "Hare Rama.." Maha Mantra kirtan was performed. A huge number of villagers participated in Nãmakirtan.

Sri Sri Swamiji participated in the "Hare Rama.." Maha Mantra kirtan in Meenur Mãlai village in Gudiyãtham next to Chennai.

October 9th - 16th, 2006

"In this Kali yuga, Nãma Sankirtanam is the only to attain the Lord". Sri Sri Swamiji has composed a set of 30 verses in Tamizh strongly proclaiming this edict. This work is entitled "Kali Dharma Undiyãr"
Between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm every day, Dr. A. Bhagyanathan of our Satsang performed a discourse in English elucidating the 30 verses of "Kali Dharma Undiyãr" at Premika Bhavanam, Chennai.

October 21st, 2006

Under the auspices of 'Kandar Sashti Vizha Association', Professor Thinnappan had organized a function in Devakottai, next to Madurai. Sri Sri Swamiji blessed the function with his discourse. The trustee of Tiruvannãmalai Yogiramsuratkumar Ãshram, Justice T.S. Arunãchalam also participated in the function.
