Title: "Ninaivil Niraindavai"
Author: T. R. Kanakamma
Publishers:
Sri Ramanasramam
Tiruvannaamalai

Muruganaar, the ardent Bhakta of Sri Ramana Maharshi, has said, "We classify religious happenings into three categories. The first category contains those that occurred in ancient times ('puraana kaala'); in the second category fall those that occurred in historical period; and the third consists of the present day occurrences. That is, incidents taking place in our Age. Today's happenings become tomorrow's history! And it might become 'puraana' for those who come in succeeding Ages ('Yuga')!

Sri Ramana who attained the Advaita state, which is the end goal of the Vedas, the Shastras, the Itihaasa-puraanaas, in a fraction of a second and who remained in that natural state ever after, lived until recently. Great is the fortune of those who had had his darshan even once. What then to speak of the fortune of Smt. T. R. Kanakamma who had spent her days living in His 'Sannidhi' (physical presence)! In her book "Ninaivil Niraindavai" she narrates several interesting incidents that she witnessed in Bhagavaan Ramana's 'sannidhi'. Her wonderful description of the incidents has a touch of divinity as a result of having lived in such a Divine power's proximity. This book is a publication of Tiruvannamalai Sri Ramanasramam.

The author, Smt. T.R. Kanakamma, an ardent bhakta of Bhagavaan Sri Ramana gives a lucid description of how she came to have devotion at the feet of her Master and her life in his 'sannidhi'. Her words bring alive before our eyes the Tiruvannamalai of those days, the atmosphere that prevailed then, Sri Bhagavaan's simplicity and his 'Aatma prabhaava' (spiritual glory).

Sri Radhakrishnan was the son of the author's paternal uncle, Sri Ramakrishna Iyer. He was addressed as 'Radha' by others. He had deep bhakti and love for Bhagavaan. He moved freely with Bhagavaan. As a school student at Tiruvannamalai he used to visit Skandasramam after school to stay with Bhagavaan and returned home at night. Later, when he continued his studies at the Madras Christian College he used to write to Bhagavaan frequently. Radha loved to converse with Bhagavaan; and go on Giri 'pradakshina' with Bhagavaan.

Once, it was decided to plant trees in the Asram for the purpose of shade. They were eager to have the seeds sown by Bhagavaan. Therefore, when Bhagavaan came on his regular walk they approached him with the seeds on a plate. When Bhagavaan was about to touch these seeds Radha came running with tears flowing down his cheeks and crying out, "Don't touch them!" Bhagavaan said to them, "You people are asking me to sow the seeds. But Radha is forbidding me to touch them." Radha explained to Bhagavaan in an emotion filled voice, "If people who have been blessed with the touch of your Divine eyes have no more birth how would these seeds touched by your hands grow into trees?" All stood wonderstruck at his words.

Several such interesting incidents have been narrated in this book.
