Title: 'Unmayudan oru vãzhvu' (A life with truth)
Many a time, Sri Sri Swamiji, in His discourses, has mentioned that Bhagavãn is "poorna swathanthra". That is, He is not bound by anybody or any rules. Such a Bhagãvan, in Srimad Bhãgavatam, says, 'The world thinks that I am absolutely independent, but it is not true. 'Aham bhakta parãdheena:' -'I am bound by the devotion of my bhakas'. What more could be said about His compassion towards His Bhaktas? The Bhaktas praise in devotion that the same Kannan who proved that he could bind the whole Universe in His little mouth, indeed let himself be bound to a mortar owing to the love of mother Yashoda. Recently I happened to read a book that pictures the limitless compassion of the Lord, who is bound by the devotion of His Bakthas. The name of that book is 'Unmayudan oru vãzhvu' or 'A life with truth'. S P Janardhanan, a close devotee of Bhagavãn Sri Yogiramsuratkumãr from Bangalore, has given a lively picture of the Yogi with some interesting anecdotes from Yogis life. It was the time when Bhagavãn Sri Yogiramsuratkumã, lived in his Sannidhi Street residence in Tiruvannãmalai. One night, while Yogi was resting, he suddenly got up as if he had forgotten something very important. Yogi requested the author to bring the aluminium vessel from outside. He said, "Two days ago, when Thilakavathi had come, she had bought some food for this beggar. It would not be fair if I dont eat the food that she brought with love. He asked the editor to leave the vessel beside a mud pot. As He opened the mud pot, He told the editor, 'It would stink badly. You go away.' The food had gone stale and was not fit for consumption. He emptied the mud pot in the aluminium vessel and the rice remained in the pot. Bounded by the love and devotion of His bakthai, Bhagavan relished the food. Reading this incident verily gives us a hair-raising experience!
