Chaitanya Mahãprabhu (54)

<Prev |  Next>

After some time, Prabhu lost his consciousness and fell on the ground. When he regained his consciousness he found "Advaitãchãrya at his feet. Prabhu quickly got up and said, "Hari! Hari! Hope I did not do any misdeed while I was unconscious! You are like my father. I am also your son like Achyuta. If I had done some blunder while I was unconscious, please pardon me." Saying so, Prabhu looked around and finding Sita Devi (wife of Advaitãchãrya) standing there said to her, "Mother! I am feeling very hungry. Please prepare food quickly." He then called Nityãnanda and said, "Come! Let us have a bath in the Ganges by the time Mother prepares food." Hearing this, all the three, Ãcharya, Haridãs and Nityãnanda, started off to Ganges with Prabhu.

Prabhu returned to Ãcharya's house after having a bath in the Ganges. Prabhu prostrated before the Lord in the pooja room. Ãcharya was at Prabhu's feet and Haridãs was at Ãcharya's feet. Finding Ãcharya at His feet, Prabhu said, "Why are you making me a sinner by falling at my feet? I am like your son!"

By this time, the food was ready. Everyone sat down together and ate lovingly. Prabhu, along with Nityãnada, stayed the night at Ãcharya's house. Next day Prabhu crossed the Ganges and reached a place called 'Kãlna' on the opposite bank . There, Gauridãs who was a great Vaishnava, was staying in solitude on the banks of Ganges doing Bhajan. Prabhu visited him, dressed very differently. He had an oar on his shoulder. He walked like a boatman and reached Gauridãs. Gauridãs had heard the glory of Prabhu but had yet not had a chance of having his darshan.

Knowing the visitor to be Prabhu, Gauridãs, offered him whatever he could get from forest. Prabhu gave the oar to Gauridãs and said, "Use this to take the people across the ocean of samsãra." Gauridãs, taking it to be Prabhu's prasad, received it with reverence.
