Title: "Kadavulai Thedi" ( In the Search of God)
Author: Swami Rãmdãs
Publishers: Ãnandãshramam, Kanhangãd

Papa Rãmdãs was the Guru of Sri Yogirãmsuratkumãr, who had been recently living around the city of Tiruvannãmalai. He chanted the mantra "Om Sri Rãm Jai Rãm Jai Jai Rãm" incessantly. He toured the whole of India, chanting this mantra. He has written all his experiences during this tour, verbatim, in his book entitled 'Kadavulai Thedi'. This book is full of optimism for the sãdhaks. This book drives home the fact that all that happens in this world is according to the will of God and that it we would always reap good benefit if we yield to it.

Once during his journey, a school master entered into an argument with Papa Rãmdãs. He belonged to the Ãrya Samãj. At that time, the topic of discussion was a movement started by Arya Samaj. Rãmdãs opined, " I am not in favour of any movement that tries to differentiate people based on their religion. All religions have come to preach the truth." Finally, the school teacher began to abuse Rãmdãs verbally. Even at this juncture, Rãmdãs did not lose his control and had a smiling face. Rãmdãs made it clear that he still loved the school teacher. The next morning, the school teacher lost his speech all of a sudden. He understood that this was because of the abusive words that he used to argue with Rãmdãs. He fell at Rãmdãs's feet and sought his pardon. Rãmdãs said that the lord is an incarnation of mercy and that He does not punish anyone. The school teacher got rid of his suffering when he took Rãmdãs's hands and placed them on his throat. This is yet another game (lila) of the Lord. The book contains many such lilas. This book is a publication of Ãnandãshramam, Kanhangad (Pin 671 531).
