Title: "Yenadhu Ninaivugal" (My remembrance)
Sri Sri Swamiji, in His discourses, says, "The intention of the Lord's incarnation is not destruction of those like Rãvana and Kamsa. The real intention behind them is only to perform innumerable Lilas (Divine Plays) so that they are repeatedly thought of by the devotees and get purified. A Mahãtma, Kuttravel Kunju Swamigal, was one of the close disciples of Bhagavãn Sri Ramana Maharshi, who ever living in the experience of the "Self", radiated his grace from Tiruvannãmalai. He was a living example of Guru Seva (service to the Guru). In this book, "Yenadu ninaivugal", he has wonderfully compiled the various interesting incidents that occurred in Bhagavãn's sannidhi (as also interesting matters regarding other devotees) ever since the time he came and surrendered to Bhagavãn. It would not be an exaggeration to say that he takes all those who read this book to the 'Sannadhi' (divine presence) of Bhagavãn. Once, while living in the Virupãksha cave, Sri Ramana Bhagavãn climbed the northern side of the Hill. As he crossed some streams he spotted a huge banyan leaf near the third stream and picked it up. As it was unusually big, he looked around in wonderment. At the far distance on top he found a huge boulder and a wide spread banyan tree. Thinking that this must be the 'Vadavãla vruksha' referred in Sri Arunãchala Purãna, he began to move towards it slowly in order to have a closer look. While walking on the undulated terrain, Sri Bhagavãn's left thigh accidentally hit the wasp's hive in a nearby bush. At once, huge mountain wasps came out of the hive and stung Sri Bhagavãn's left thigh. Sri Bhagavãn stood there patiently thinking, "I Should be punished for the wrong done!" The thigh was swollen with the sting. Even in this state, Bhagavãn felt amazed that the enraged wasps vent their anger by stinging only that place which had actually disturbed them. Compiling and presenting various such interesting incidents, Sri Kunju Swamigal has purified us by making us think ('smaranam') of Sri Ramana's Divine Charitra.
