The Master's Mantra
Sri Swamiji -
A child jumps about in joy when clothed in silk attire and bedecked with jewels though it places no value to these. Similarly a Jnăni is happy with the services we render him.He is in no way interested in them but enjoys them only as it makes us happy.
Out of sheer compassion a Mãhan who is in out-of-the-world state comes down to this physical plane and speaks to us. While this in itself is due to compassion one cannot expect any other kindness from him. Neither can He understand our (low) state nor can we comprehend his (high) state.
Nee poy azhaithuvãrãi!...

Sri Swamiji's Song:
Raga: Jayantashree
Nee poy azhaithuvãrãi - kannanai
Shrivainateyane Vedaswaroopane
Kannan Kannan endru aratrum en nilai kandu
Irakkamuttrilaiyo ippozhude viraindu
Unnai vittãl enakkor gathiyumillai
Ennilai ini solvadarkillai
Vinathãvin maindane mandira mayane
Muralidharanudan saduthiyil varuvãi

The Translation:
Oh! Shri Vainateya (Garuda)! The embodiment of Vedas!
Go and fetch Sri Krishna!
Having seen my plight prating Kanna! Kanna!, have you not pitied me!
Go fast right now! (and fetch Krishna)
I have no refuge other than you!
My plight is beyond any description now!
Oh! Son of Vinatha! One whose form is full of mantras!
May you come in haste here along with Muralidhara!

The Paduka
Sriman Nigamãntha Desikan, a great Vaishnava Saint lived from
mid-thirteenth to mid-fourteenth century- 1268-1369. Of the innumerable
'Granthas' (texts) written by Him
the highly revered and considered as the most extraordinary piece is His
"Pãduka Sahasram" - a thousand verses on the 'Pãduka' of Lord Ranganãtha.
The Saint has in all composed 1008 verses, the last eight apologizing
in all humility for daring to compose these 1000 verses on the Pãduka!
Sri Desikan's contemporary Sri Appayya Dikshitar had written a
commentary on the "Pãduka Sahasram" but unfortunately it has been lost.

Oh! Pãduke!
Lord Ranganãtha adorns You
and gently dances
taking elegant steps
in your company!
This Divine sight not only purifies
us, but also is the most beautiful
sight one can ever behold!
