'Nãn' - 'I' “Every day all of us receive, for a moment (‘kshana neram’), the darshan of the ‘Antarãtma’ that remains as the “I”.”— Bhagavãn Sri Ramana, on an early morning, explained this in detail. “There is a fraction of a second interval between sleep and waking state. The waking state always starts with the ‘I’ thought. On coming out of sleeping state and before this ‘I’ thought rises up, the mind sinks into its source (‘moola stãnam’) but for a moment and remains as the ‘paripoorna’ (absolute) pure state. At first, it is the ignorant state of sleep then the illumined absolute pure state at once followed by the ‘I’ thought, giving rise to the identification with the body. We can ‘feel’/‘experience’ this ‘unnarvu’ (feeling) at the centre of this sequence if we remain alert with full awareness.” Kurram Subbarãmayya about Bhagavãn Sri Ramana Maharshi in ‘Arul nirainda amudhakkadal’
