7:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M : Kirtanãvali Bhajan was conducted from 2nd of January 2003 to 10th
January 2003 at Mathurapuri Ashram. Sri Premika Varadan and Madhuri Sakhi were placed in a beautifully decorated
swing and kirtans were sung with Sri Swamiji leading the bhajan. On the 10th of January 2003 Ãndãl Kalyanam was performed. Sri Swamiji
blessed all the devotees with Akshata prasada.

Adhyayana Utsav was celebrated at Premika Bhavanam during which the devotees rendered the
4000 Divya Prabandam (verses in praise of Lord Vishnu by the Aazhwãrs) of the Ãzhwãrs. Sri Swamiji participated in the Utsav on the concluding day (Sãthumurai).

Mathurapuri Ashram

Sant Ekanãth Dining Hall was dedicated to His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji by Smt Vijayakumari and Sri Deenadayalan.
On the morning of Friday the 24th January, 2003, inauguration and dedication ceremony of Sant Ekanãth Dining Hall was performed. The building hosts a huge hall with a stage at its head for musical concerts and other religious performance during Brahmotsav and at other times. The building is equipped with a large kitchen. A separate kitchen for cooking for visiting Vedic Brahmins has been provided. Big rooms with all basic facilities and study/class hall have been placed on the first floor for the Veda Patasala students.
The portico of the huge hall was decorated with beautiful large ‘kolams’ drawn in all enthusiasm by the ladies who are part of constructing the hall. Mango leaves, a sign of auspiciousness, had been strung across the entrance.
His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji arrived at the Hall flanked by the Veda Pãtasala Students.
‘Kãrãm pasu’ (cow, which is totally black and considered the most auspicious) of the Mission’s Asrama was brought into the hall along with its calf by Sri Balaraman, Manager of the Asrama and Sri Raju, Asstt. Manager of the Asrama.
Sri Mruthyunja Sarma, Sãma Veda Adhyapak, performed ‘Go puja’. After the puja
Sri Raju led the cow and the calf around the hall before taking them back to the ‘Go sala’ (cow shed).
Sri Mallikarjuna Sarma, ‘Mukhya Adhyãpak’ of the Mission’s Sri Sandeepani Gurukulam and Sri Mruthyunjaya Sarma, Sãma Veda Adhyapak, performed ‘homa’ in this connection. All the ‘vidyãrthees’ (students) of the Patasala chanted the Vedas along with Sri Mallikarjuna Sarma. Picture of Premika Varadan-Madhuri Sakhi was placed at the head of the hall and puja performed.
Smt. Vijayakumari Deenadayalan performed the ritual of boiling milk and offered the boiled milk to all present.
Sri Deenadayalan offered a huge ‘nilai padi’ (threshold) size garland of ‘sãmanti’ flowers to His Holiness Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji.
Sri Deenadayalan was honoured with a silken shawl and garland by Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma on behalf of the Mission.
