Sri Swamiji's Jayanti Celebrations at Madhurapuri Ashram
Bhagavan Nãma (the Divine Name of the Lord) and Srimad Bhagavatam are the two eyes of His Holiness Sri Sri Swamiji. It is verily the Vedas, the very breath of the Lord, that is the basis for everything. Mahans will never accept anything that has not been advocated/supported by the Vedas. It is verily the Vedas that speaks of the genuineness of the Divine Name.
In the absence of the Vedas the genuineness of an action will not be known. It is for this very reason that His Holiness fosters the Vedas by running the Sandeepani Gurukulam (Veda Patasala) at Madhurapuri Ashram, Mãhãnyam village. This Mãhãnyam village where Madhurapuri Ashram is situated is filled with the ‘sãnidhya’ of Sri Srinivasa Perumal. A small, neat Temple for Sri Kalyana Srinivasa Perumal was built two years ago. The villagers visit the Temple and chant the Maha Mantra
The Maha Mantra is now being chanted in several villages in and around Mãhãnyam. From a child to an old man all greet each other with ‘Radhe Krishna!’ The Jayanti celebrations of His Holiness was celebrated at Madhurapuri Ashram. Innumerable devotees from all over the country visited the Ashram to receive the blessings of His Holiness. In the morning His Holiness performed ‘abhishekha’ and ‘archana’ to Premika Varadan-Mãdhuri Sakhi, as the devotees chanted the Maha Mantra. His Holiness blessed all the devotees with ‘teertha prasad’. Thousands of devotees were sumptuously fed at the Ashram with ‘maha prasad’. Program:
