AKHANDA NAAMA SANKIRTAN

Sri Maha Periyavaa’s Jayanthi was celebrated at Smt Akila and Sri Ramaratinam’s residence on 15th June. Satsang members participated very enthusiastically in the Akhanda Naama Sankirtan. About 45-50 people attended the function.
The program started with Ganesha Pooja, followed by Sri Rudra Abhishekam and chanting by Sri Ramaratinam and Sri Venkat Ramanan, followed by Guru Kirtans by Sri Ramaratinam and Smt Jayashree Ramakrishnan. At 6:00am, Smt Akila Ramaratinam started the chanting in Bhoopala Raagam. Smt Jayashree Ramakrishnan, Smt Akila Ramaratinam and Krishna Ramaratinam led the group by changing the raagas for the Naama Sankirtan and it was supported by Sri Bhaskar on Tabla. Naama Sankirtan concluded at 6:00pm. Dr Ramanathan sang songs composed by Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal on Sri Maha Periyavaa. The function concluded by the chanting of Hara Hara Shankara Jaya Jaya Shankara followed by Mangala Harathi & Manrtapushpam. The host Smt Akila Ramaratinam served Nivediyam/ dinner.
