Around 5.15 p.m. Sri Swamiji took the place behind the mike and introduced the elderly who was seated behind another mike at His behest - ‘Smt. Pushkalambal hails from Kadayanallur near Tirunelveli. Her daughter Banu has had the blessing to experience the Lilas of Lord Krishna as a young gril. Smt. Pushkalambal would speak to you all about her daughter’s experiences of the Lord!’

Smt. Pushkalambal began in a clear tone, ‘Not used to holding mike I would try to narrate the Lilas that Krishna performed with Banu and her friends.’
----There was a lady in this small Town who used to narrate stories of Bhaktas from Bhakta Vijayam every night after dinner. All the children used to assemble in her house and listen intently to Bhakta charitrãs. The children earned deep interest in it and deeply desired to see Krishna. All of them asked her, ‘Can we also see Krishna just as all these had?’ The pious lady said, ‘Of course you can provided all of you are as devoted as these Bhaktãs had been.’ All these children had real yearning to see Krishna. It was at that time that a Sadhu from North visited their Town and this lady told the children to approach him with their request. They did so. The Sadhu applied some honey on the tongue of some 12 selected children and said that a wonder would occur within some 40 days. But, even on the 10th day something wonderful occurred. After the story narration session when all the children took leave, Banu alone sat unmoving. The children called out to her but she did not seem to hear them at all. The lady said to them, ‘do not disturb her. She is in dhyana. I will take her home myself. All of you leave now.’ As soon as she was out of dhyana Banu explained that Krishna had come out of the picture that hung on the wall. It was a picture of Baby Krishan eating butter. She had been blessed with four kinds of darshan of Krishna. There were four pillars in that old house. Near one pillar Krishna appeared as the Baby Krishna eating butter. Near two other pillars He appeared as the cowherd standing near a cow. Near yet another pillar He appeared as Lord Venkatesa. From that onwards Banu began to have the company of Krishna. She would suddenly begin to play with the ball as if throwing to someone at the other end. The mother and the rest began to understand that Krishna had come. They could only see Banu and her actions/talks but could make out that she was with Krishna. She would dance around, play and talk to Krishna. Banu would suddenly go into dhyana and when she came out of it would say that Krishna had taken her to some other ‘loka’ (world). In this manner Krishna had taken her to Vaikunta, Kailasa, swarga and all other worlds. The Lord showed her all His Avatars.

People began to speak ill about the little girl and the family. The mother felt sorrowful and wrote to Swami Shivananda (Rishikesh). ‘I believe that Krishna is playing with Banu. But, people of the Town are spreading gossips. They question if such things can happen in this age.’ Swami Shivananda replied, ‘It is good that you have faith in it. Let others speak ill. Do not worry on that count. Bhagavãn can appear in any age.’ Banu’s family received a similar consolation from a Sadhu in Chennai. For three years Krishna played His Divine play with Banu and her friends.
