Srimad Bhaagavatam (3:24:6, 3:24:7): Avaayanstada vyomni vaaditraani ghanaaghanaah | Gaayanti tam sma gandharvaa nrutyantyapsarasomuda || Petuhu sumanaso divyah khecharairapavarjitah | Prasedushcha dishah sarva ambansi cha manaansi cha || Meaning: At the time of His (the Lord’s) descent, the gods in the form of raining clouds sounded musical instruments (in the shape of thunder claps) in the sky, the Gandharvaas (celestial musicians) sang praises while Apsaraas (celestial nyphms) danced with joy. Heavenly flowers rained by the gods flying in the air dropped (from the heavens); and, all the quarters as well as the waters (of lakes, rivers and streams ) and the minds of the people became clear.
