--Sri Swamiji honoured all Vedic Scholars and those who rendered ‘Pãrãyana’ of the different
Grantãs with ‘samabãvana’.
Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma, Adhyakshar, on behalf of Sri Swamiji and
the Mission offered shawl and the sambãvana to each one of them.
Sri Swamiji, receiving the offering of a long ‘vaijayanti mãla’ around His neck, went up to the
Temple ‘Vimanam’ accompanied by Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma and a few others carrying the kalasãs.
Amidst chanting by the Brahmins and the ringing of the Temple Bell, Sri Swamiji performed Samprokshanam.
The Sun was up, right on time (!), from the other side of our Govardana to witness the Grand Event!
Villagers from the local Malaipattu village and the surrounding villages had gathered in full enthusiasm to
participate in the Home Event. Devotees of Sri Swamiji from other parts of the Country had come to receive
the blessings of the Lord.
A huge ‘mãla’ of sandalwood and gold zari work adorned
Sri Swamiji’s neck as He walked down the ‘steps’ after the Samprokshanam. Local and City press persons
had gathered to record the Grand Event.
Sri Swamiji then performed Thirumanjanam to the gods of the Temple 'prakara'.
Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma performed the samprokshanam for the Garudan Sannidhi
Sri Swamiji then sat in the ‘Yãga sãla’ ground for a long time, blessing the long queue of devotees with His Darshan.
On 17th evening, Thirumanjanam was performed to the deity - Sri Kalyana Srinivasan amidst the recital of Vedas
by Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma (‘Mukhya Adyapak’ of our Mission Veda
Pãtasala) and the Paatasala vidyarthis.
The Utsav Murthy bedecked with jewels and flowers was taken in procession in an beautifully
decorated floral palanquin. Firecrackers were burst in celebration.
