Sri Swamiji performed the ‘Noothana Ashtabhandana Mahasamprokshanam’ on
17th February, 2002, between 6.30a.m. - 7.30 a.m.
A picturesque report of the four-day celebration, in which 64 Vedic Scholars (about 45 from the State of Andhra and the rest from
Tamizh Nadu State) participated, is being presented to you here. Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma (‘Mukhya Adyapak’ of our Mission Veda
Pãtasala)
was the ‘Adyakshar’.

Order of the gods in the Temple ‘Prakãra’ -
At the entrance to the Temple, facing the Lord’s (Sri Kalyana Srinivasa Perumal) Sannidhi is Garudãzhwãr. As one moves to the left (Southern side of the Main Sannidhi) in circumambulation, the first sannidhi is that of Nardana Ganapathy followed by Panduranga. At the back of Perumal Sannidhi (Western side) is Anjaneya sannidhi. The sannidhi of Varãhamurti followed by Vishnu Durga are on the northern side of the Main Sannidhi.

‘Yãga sãla’ -
'Homa Kunda’ - 7
These were for Perumal and the Murtis in the temple ‘Prakãra’.
Daily events: -
‘Go Puja’ was performed every morning.
Homams were conducted all the 5 kãlãs (Time), beginning with 14th evening
Vidwãns from Andhra performed Gana and Krama Pãrãyana.

Sankalpam, Anugnai,Vigneswara puja and Vishwaksenar puja were performed by
the Brahmins in Bhãgavata Bhavanam.

|
Entry into the ‘Yãga sãla’ was made at 4.00 pm., led by Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma.
First Kãla Homam was performed.

Second kãla Homam.

Third kãla Homam.

UNIQUE FEATURES:
All the four Vedas were recited -
Yajur - Krishna Yajur, Shukla Yajur (rare)
Sãma - Gouthuma sãka, Jaimini sãka (rare)
Rig and
Atharvana.
Krama and Gana pãrayana were performed by Andhra Vidwãns.
Following Pãrãyana were performed during all the five kãlãs:
Srimad Bhãgavatam, Ramayanam, Divya prabandham, Vishnu Purãnam,
Varaha Purãnam,Venkatesa Mãhãtmiyam, Vishnu Sahasranãma,
Dwãdasãkshari Mantra japa , Ashtãkshari Mantra japa and Nãma Sankirtan (Sri Raman Bhãgavata rendered the Ashtapati).
Kalasa theertha were from the ‘saptha punya nadi’
(the seven Sacred rivers - Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Saraswati, Narmada, Sindhu and Cauvery).
Anna dãna was performed to villagers from in and around Malaipattu village.
SPECIAL FEATURE:
15th February 2002:
Sri Swamiji honoured *Brahmasri Sripãda Srirãma Ganapati (Andhra) with the title
‘Veda Purusha’
A gold dollar with the inscription
‘Veda Purusha’ was presented to him.
*Brahmasri Sripãda Srirãma Ganapati is renowned for his expertise in rendering the Vedas. His ability
stretches to performance of ‘Gana Pãrãyana’ in reverse order! Honoured by the several Mutts of the Country,
he has been honoured with a
golden ‘kavacha’ by Sringeri Mutt!
On the 15th evening, this Vedic Scholar, recited the ‘Ganam’ in reverse order, in the Presence of
Sri Swamiji!

Sri Kanchi Kãmakoti Peetãdipati Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal graced the occasion on
16th February, 2002, at 6.30 a.m.
