Mullaivãsal Sri Krishnamurti Sastrigal of Sanskrit College spoke a few words followed by a short, crisp speech by Sri Mani Dravid Sastrigal, exponent in Vedanta (the highest qualified in India). Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma, Adhyãpak, Sandeepani Gurukulam, while introducing Sri Mani Dravid Sastrigal said that the world of Vedic Scholars wondered if it was Sri Madhusudhana Saraswati who had returned to the world.

The young lanky bespectacled Vedic Scholar, enjoying the highest repute in the country, being the highest qualified in Vedanta Shastra, explained how Vedanta and Bhakti were in reality complementary to each other. He concluded his impressive speech with a vehement statement that while one knew not if he enjoyed such deep feeling of Bhakti, one, indeed, did spontaneously experience it here in Mathurapuri Ashram.
Mullaivãsal Sri Krishnamurti Sastrigal and Sri Mani Dravid Sastrigal were both honoured by Sri Mallikãrjuna Sarma, on behalf of Sri Muralidhara Swamigal Mission.

Sri O.S. Sundar Bhãgavata read the ‘Lagnãshtakam’.

Radha Kalyanam was performed in the traditional style.
|

Loud singing of “Radha! Radha Krishna! Radha!” rent the air in Bhãgavata Bhavanam.
Sweets were distributed to all the participants. Sri Swamiji blessed each and every devotee with ‘Akshadai’.

All the Bhãgavatas were honoured with Sambãvanai.
Thãmboolam was offered to all.

Bhajan led by Sri Viji and Sri Balaji Bhãgavatas.

Premika Varadan-Madhuri Sakhi were seated on the flower decorated ‘oonjal’ and Sri Swamiji performed bhajan along with the devotees followed by ‘Nalungu’.

10.45 p.m. - 11.15 p.m.
Sri Swamiji sat just outside His ‘Kutil’ surrounded by devotees. He spoke on the various rare musical instruments viz. Jalatarangam, Mandolin. With deep regret Sri Swamiji said that there were just one or two playing these instruments today and none to take over.
