After blessing the devotees with theertha prasad Sri Swamiji honoured the Bhãgavatas with sambãvana.

Children from Mãhãnyam village who perform ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ bhajan every Sunday evening had darshan of Sri Swamiji and chanted

As Sri Swamiji stepped out of the Ashram gates a village local received Sri Swamiji. He and his wife performed Pãda puja to Sri Swamiji and broke 18 coconuts (‘soorai thengai’).

As Sri Swamiji, surrounded by devotees gathered from all over the country for the Utsav, visited the village, every family in each and every house, performed Pãda puja to Sri Swamiji. The whole village wearing a festive look eagerly awaited the annual visit of their ‘Sãmi’ (Sri Swamiji)!

Sri Swamiji stopped at the local temple for about half-an-hour. Sri Raghu Bhãgavata and Sri Rajagopala Iyengar Bhãgavata entertained the village folks, dancing in tune to various kirtans - ‘Chinna Chinna padam vaithu kanna nee va!’ (Tamizh)

Little girls and boys of the village, the future of our great country, walked along in joyful strides singing

‘Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare!’

as Sri Swamiji continued on His individual home visits.

Premika Varadan-Madhuri Sakhi followed, surrounded by the young Bhãgavata group of Sri Swamiji, who sang Namasankirtan led by Sumanth Bhãgavata. Premika Varadan-Madhuri Sakhi stopped at every door to receive ‘ãrati’ and bless the home. Prasad was given to every family.

On the way back to the Ashram, Sri Swamiji was received by the village youths at the old ‘street’ temple. The Youths played the brave game of ‘Uriadi’ in entertaining their ‘Sãmi’ (Sri Swamiji) and devotees from outside the village.

On return to the Ashram ‘ãrati’ was performed to Premika Varadan-Madhuri Sakhi at the gates. As they entered the Bhãgavata Bhavanam the Nadaswaram party played “Notes” and “snake” tune. The four bearers swayed the palanquin (Sesha Vahanam) in tune to it. All eyes were glued to the smooth movements of Sesha vahanam as their hearts swayed along!

Divya Nãmasankirtan was performed by all the Bhãgavatas.
