December 16, 2000 Dhanur Madha Puja
The auspicious month of Margazhi (Dhanur Madham) started
on December 16, 2000. Satsang celebrates Dhanur Madham with daily
morning pooja. The pooja starts at 5.00 am with Sri Swamigal performing Thirumanjanam
to Sri Srinivasa Perumal/Madhuri-Sakhi Premika Varadan/ 'Periyava' Paduka.
The thirumanjanam
is followed by Ãrathi and Thiruppãvai recital. After the recital,
Sri Swamigal gives Thîrtha prasadam to all present. Then Sri Swamigal
discourses on Thiruppãvai for about an hour. Sri Swamigal
discoursed on Srimad Bhãgavatam in the evenings of 16th and 17th December.

December 18, 2000 Vishnu Sahasranãma Pãrayanam by Vaishnavites from Nãngoor
Vishnu Sahasranãma Pãrayanam was performed by Vaishnavites from Nãngoor at Madhuramurali Bhavanam
from 7.00 am to 11.00 am in the morning and from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm in the evening.

December 19, 2000 - December 28, 2000 Adhyayana Utasavam at Premika Bhavanam
Adhyayana Utasavam is celebrated in the evenings for 10 days in Premika
bhavanam during which the Divya prabandham (divine hymns of the Alwars )
is recited in the traditional Vaishnavite style.
Sri Madhuri Saki - Premika Varadan is placed in a decorated swing in the Bhajan hall where
the recital takes place. On the final day "Sathumurai" is performed
to the Lord.
