Kim Sambaadhyam Manujaih ?
     Vidhya Vittam Bhaalam Yasah Punyam |
Kah Sarvaguna Vinasee ?
     Lobhah Satruccha Kah? Kaamah ||

Q: What has to be earned by human beings?
A: Education, wealth, strength, fame and good merits (‘punyam’).

Q: What destroys all good attributes?
A: Miserliness. (‘lobam’)

Q: Who is the enemy?
A: Lust. (‘kaamam’)

Praanaadhapi Ko Ramyah
    Kuladharmah Saadhu Sangaccha |
Kaa Samrakshyaa ? Keerthih
    Pathivrataa Naijabudhticcha ||

Q: What is dearer than life?
A: Family traditions/practices as prescribed by the Shastras (‘Kuladharma’) and association of Saadhus.

Q: What are those that have to be protected?
A: Fame, a chaste woman and one’s intelligence (‘ suya buddhi’)
