In Bangalore, devotees of Sri Swamiji, celebrated the Jayanti at Sri Sankaran’s residence. ‘Ãvahanti homa’, ‘Ãyushya homa’, ‘Amrutha Mruthyunjaya homa’ and ‘Navagraha homa’ were performed for Sri Swamiji. ‘Purusha Suktha vidhãna’, ‘Vishnu sahasranãma archana’ and Sri Swamiji’s ‘ashtotra archana’ were performed to the Holy Paduka of Sri Swamiji. All Bangalore devotees participated in the Jayanti celebrations.

‘Ãyushya homa’ and ‘Ãvahanti homa’ were performed for Sri Swamiji from 8 a.m to 9 a.m. ‘Abhisheka’ with ‘kalasa thirtha’ and ‘archana’ were performed to Sri Swamiji’s Holy Paduka.

Celebrations started early in the morning as the devotees started greeting each other. It was during the day and throughout the entire afternoon that people poured in streams to Sri Gopalakrishnan`s residence to celebrate Sri Swamiji's Jayanti. They greeted each other and exchanged sweets. As the devotees met and remembered (smaranam) Sri Swamiji, the jubilience and the sweet fragrance of Guru Bhakti spilled all over.

In the evening, from about 6.00 p.m,

‘Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare!’

was chanted for half-an-hour. Then, all the devotees visited the Srinivasa temple in the outskirts of the city. As a part of the Jayanti celebrations, Radha Kalyanam was performed on October 31st at Sri Shiva's residence.

On the occasion of Sri Swamiji’s Jayanti, special ‘abhisheka’ and puja were performed to Sri Guruvãyurappan. Guruvayurappan was adorned with ‘Chandana kãppu’ (Sandal paste).

Sri Swamiji’s portrait was decorated and placed on a ‘peetha’. Devotees chanted
