Sri Sriram Parthasarathy gave carnatic vocal recital. He was
accompanied by Sri Ganapathy and Sri Siva on the Mrudangam,
Sri Ramani on the Ghatam, Sri Rajasekar on the violin.
As a snake sways, in trance, to the melody of the charmer's pipe the
crowd swayed to the melody of this young man's music.
He began with the song
'Vaathapi Ganapatim...'
He followed it with 'Janaki Ramana...'.
Feeling the pulse of the audience he chose to render two Ashtapatis,
the 2nd 'Sritha kamalaakucha mandala drutha kundala...'
and the 12th 'Paschyati dishi dishi rahasi bhavantham...'
Following which he sang,
'Pandaricha vaasa Chandrabaage snaana..'
'Bega baro bega baro neelamegavarna
Bega baro bega baro velaapurada chenna..'
'Krishna nee begane baro...and
'Tiruppavai' number 'Maayanai mannu vada mathurai maindanai...'

'Kazhuthile tulasi malai, karuthhile kannan leelai, kandukonda chaitanyam ido, ido...'.
and lastly 'Tullu mada vetkai...' from the' Tiruppugazh'.
