Unto That Guru I Prostrate....

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
Who knows all yet reveals not : All powerful yet acts vulnerable:
IS GOD yet acts human : Camouflages His 'parakrama' with 'maya'!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
who acts ceaselessly - day in and day out - for the worldly and spiritual welfare of those who have sought refuge in Him!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
who bestows all round 'kshema'(welfare) subtly on those who have taken refuge in Him and recalls not His own blessings!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
who sanctifies this 'prapanja'(the cosmos) by His words, bewitching smile, walk and touch!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
who, by His boundless grace, puts to shame even 'kamadhenu'(the celestial cow) and 'kalpaka vruksha'(the tree bounty)!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
whose love changes not even when those who belong to Him sin!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
whose grace has no parallel and can never ever be returned even if served for 'janmas' fourteen!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
Thinking of whose grace, I cannot but weep in solitude!

Unto that GURU, I prostrate,
who draws us, ever, unto Himself and pours forth love
unlike God who blesses, only when called!
