October 8, 2000 'Avathãra Dinam' of Sri Srinivasa Perumal

The 'Prathishtai' (installation) of Sri Srinivasa Perumal in 'Premika Bhavanam' by Sri Swamigal was done in the Tamizh month of 'Purattasi' 'Shravana' Star, in the year 1992. Every year, this day is celebrated with the lighting of 'Shravana Deepam' by Sri Swamigal.

In the evening, the hall of 'Premika Bhavanam' was taken over by Bhagavathars from all over the City and outside converting it into 'Bhagavatha Bhavanam'! Eventually it turned out to be a     Bhagavatha Mela !

October 17, 2000 - November 4, 2000 Sri Swamigal's Jayanthi Celebrations

Rãmãyanam Upanyãsam was done by Sri Ravi Sarma at Premika Bhavanam from 7.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. from 17th October 2000 to 25th October 2000.

Sri Swamigal's Jayanthi was celebrated on October 27th, 2000 at Premika Bhavanam. At Malaipattu Ashram 'annadanam' (free offering of food) to the villagers was done to commemorate the 'Jayanthi' of Sri Swamigal.

In the afternoon, 'Kal Vaitha Vãram' which test the ability of the participants was conducted. It was presided over by Tiruvidaimarudur Sri Srinivãsa Ganapãdigal. The whole evening was filled up with the fragrance of Bhagavan Nãma during the Divya Nãma Sankirtanam! Click here for details... Sri Ekamram ( who was a personal attendant to Maha Periyaval for nearly three decades) spoke on the various incidents that took place in Maha Periyaval's presence at different camps involving various kinds of devotees and people. November 8, 2000 'Tulasi Kalyãnam' at Premika Bhavanam, Chennai

'Ippasi' 'Dwãdasi' is celebrated as 'Tulasi Kalyanam' (Lord Krishna weds Tulasi on this day). Our Satsang, too, celebrated this occasion. Sri Swamigal decorated Tulasi with ornaments and flower garlands. Sri Sumanth Bhagavathar accompanied by Sri Balaji rendered Jayadev's Ashtapathi. Later, Sri Ekamram performed 'archanai' to Tulasi and Sri Krishna. The ladies sang a few selected verses from 'Rãdhika Shatakam' and Sri Swamigal's song on Tulasi devi. Tulasi and 'Vilakku' stotrams were chanted.

November 15, 2000 Mahasamprokshanam of Sri Semponsei Arangar Temple

The Mahasamprokshanam of Sri Allimalarãl Sameta Semponsei Arangar temple was successfully performed on the 15th November, 2000. This is the third Samprokshanam performed under the auspices of Sri Swamigal.

December 16, 2000 Dhanur Madha Puja

The auspicious month of Margazhi (Dhanur Madham) started on December 16, 2000. Satsang celebrates Dhanur Madham with daily morning pooja. The pooja starts at 5.00 am with Sri Swamigal performing Thirumanjanam to Sri Srinivasa Perumal/Madhuri-Sakhi Premika Varadan/ 'Periyava' Paduka. The thirumanjanam is followed by Ãrathi and Thiruppãvai recital. After the recital, Sri Swamigal gives Thîrtha prasadam to all present. Then Sri Swamigal discourses on Thiruppãvai for about an hour. Sri Swamigal discoursed on Srimad Bhãgavatam in the evenings of 16th and 17th December.

December 18, 2000 Vishnu Sahasranãma Pãrayanam by Vaishnavites from Nãngoor

Vishnu Sahasranãma Pãrayanam was performed by Vaishnavites from Nãngoor at Madhuramurali Bhavanam from 7.00 am to 11.00 am in the morning and from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm in the evening.

December 19, 2000 - December 28, 2000 Adhyayana Utasavam at Premika Bhavanam

Adhyayana Utasavam will be celebrated in the evenings for 10 days in Premika bhavanam during which the Divya prabandham (divine hymns of the Alwars ) is recited in the traditional Vaishnavite style. Sri Madhuri Saki - Premika Varadan is placed in a decorated swing in the Bhajan hall where the recital takes place. On the final day "Sathumurai" is performed to the Lord.

December 22, 2000 MahaPeriyaval Aradhana at Premika Bhavanam

Sri Swamigal performed Thirumanjanam to 'Periyava' Paduka in the morning. In the evening from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. KRITHIKA MANDALA PARAYANAM was performed by ten vedic scholars headed by Tiruvidaimarudur Sri Srinivasa Ganapadigal.
