Question:
There is indiscipline even amongst those living in the
proximity of Mahatmas. One even finds them falling prey to
jealousy and vying with each other for 'impressing'
the Mahatmas; Whereas, in (name of a popular personality mentioned)
this place everything is conducted in a highly disciplined manner.
Why is it so?
Sri Swamigal:
The reason for maintenance of discipline in some places,
like the one mentioned, is not just administrative capability
but because people have been brain washed! They are mass-hypnotised
or mass-mesmerized! So there appears to be discipline in these places.
Most of the real Mahatmas, however, do not interfere in administrative
matters. Nor do they expect anyone to accept them foolishly. In fact,
a real Mahatma expects a rational behaviour on the part of those who
come to him. Due to their deep compassion for the ignorant people they
(the Mahatmas) even give them the freedom to contradict their views.

Question:
Does one who abuse them (Mahatmas) suffer?
Sri Swamigal:
It depends on each one's (Mahatma's) status. As far as
I am concerned I always pray for the good of even those
who abuse and create troubles for me.

Question:
Very frequently you conduct mahotsavas (grand religious festivals).
Are they for the welfare of the world?
Sri Swamigal:
I conduct such mahotsavas frequently, through our SatSangam,
only so that those who come to the Lord of this place with
faith, chant Hari Naama, generation after generation, and
reap all benefits, worldly and spiritual.

Question:
What is Siddha form of medicine? Has this been
formulated by Siddhas? Who are Siddhas?
Sri Swamigal:
When one gets initiated into certain 'mantras' through a
'Guru' and the japa of these mantras are done continuously
for a long period, a liquid, akin to the saliva, is
produced from below the tongue. This keeps oozing out always.
Some even call it 'amritham'. When this happens they are able
to prescribe medicines for various diseases. Such medication
is called siddha vaidya or siddha form of medicine.

Question:
I enjoy my family and this world. I fear that I would
lose these once I gain (spiritual) Knowledge!
Sri Swamigal:
There is absolutely no need to entertain any such fear!
Only on the attainment of true Knowledge can a person
really enjoy everyone and everything.
This is the very reason that Srimad Bhagavatham which describes
Sri Krishna as Brahma Gnani also describes him as 'Rasika Sikhamani'
(one who enjoys and appreciates everything around).
